Christmas delivery 2026

Shopping for Christmas? Please order early to give your gifts plenty of time to arrive.

• UK standard delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 48): order by 12 noon on Wednesday 16 December.
• UK faster delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 24): order by 12 noon on Thursday 17 December.

These are Contempo’s recommended order dates, allowing time to pack and dispatch your order. They are not delivery guarantees. Busy networks, weather and some delivery locations can cause delays. Orders placed later may arrive after Christmas.

For personalised items or delivery locations where Royal Mail’s usual delivery aims do not apply, please allow extra time and contact us before ordering.

Evri pickup-point delivery and international orders: please order early. We have not confirmed a Christmas order cutoff for these services. Contact us before ordering if arrival before Christmas is essential. Shipping to the USA remains paused, and Jellycat is available for UK delivery only.

Collect from our Stirling shop: choose Store pickup at checkout and wait for your ready-to-collect email before travelling. Please contact us about Christmas collection arrangements.

Returns Policy

Hassle-Free Returns

We want you to love your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days of receiving it for a refund. There are two ways to do it.

Bring it back to the shop

Pop into Contempo at 19 King Street, Stirling, with your item and your receipt or order confirmation, and we will take care of the rest. No need to email first. We are open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9:30am to 6pm and Sunday 10:30am to 5:30pm.

Send it back by post

1. Email us at customer.service@contempo.pro to let us know you would like to make a return.

2. Send the item back to us in its original condition.

Please note that return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty. Bringing your item into the shop costs you nothing. For more information, read our full Refunds Policy.

Exchanges

Changed your mind on the colour, or picked the wrong size? We’re happy to sort it. We don’t do a direct swap, so it works like this: send the original back for a refund using the steps above, then place a new order for the one you’d rather have. Same 30 day window, and it works the same way whether you’re in the UK or overseas.

Contempo is built on a clear and intentional set of values that guide every buying decision, supplier partnership, and customer interaction:

Originality – We avoid anything generic or overdone. We seek the unique, the overlooked, and the surprising.

Curiosity – We’re led by that “ooh, what’s this?” moment. If we’re excited, you will be too.

Playfulness – Whether it’s a cheeky candle or a pun-filled notebook, we believe our products should make you smile.

Design-Led Thinking – We obsess over how things look and feel. Beautiful packaging, clever design, meaningful form—these matter.

Inclusivity – Our shelves reflect a spectrum of personalities, tastes, and price points. Great design shouldn’t be elitist.

Independence – We champion small makers, independent brands, and ideas that don’t follow the crowd.

For the friend who always says just one more chapter, a mug that looks like their bookshelf.

This cheerful mug is shaped like a stack of four classic novels, with Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Treasure Island on the spines. Bright red, navy, green and orange covers sit around cream page edges, so it looks every bit as good on the desk as it does in the hand. Find more page-turning presents in our gifts for book lovers.

It holds a generous 350ml, which is plenty of tea for a long reading session or a strong coffee for the morning commute chapter. It arrives in its own illustrated box, so it is ready to wrap for birthdays, Christmas or a book club Secret Santa. Browse our mugs and cups for more characterful brews.
